Calgary Wind Symphony, Associate Conductor
Maestro Freeman has been the pit orchestra director for the University of Calgary School of Creative and Performing Arts Musical Theatre Company since its inception, and has conducted Trial by Jury, Pirates of Penzance, West Side Story, Miss Saigon, Titanic: The Musical, Guys and Dolls, Children of Eden and The Music Man. She also enjoys conducting contemporary chamber works with New Works Calgary’s Rubbing Stone Ensemble and is an associate musical director of the Calgary Wind Symphony. She has adjudicated soloists, instrumental ensembles and string groups at the Yellowknife Music Festival, Alberta International Band Festival and frequently guest conducts secondary school ensembles and adult community wind bands and choirs. A busy mom on the go, she and her husband have three beautiful children age eight, six and five.
